Beheaded

This piece was my first attempt at sculpture. I’d never sculpted a face before, or even tried ceramics for that matter, but I instantly fell in love. I was amazed at how my knowledge of drawing and shading translated in three dimensions. This also became the first piece of art I won an award for. Because of this, Beheaded is a major milestone in my artistic career.
